Together again

Just a quick post to confirm that after a very long and tiring trip, Alison and the children arrived safely yesterday evening in Sydney.  I’ve never seen Alison looking so exhausted – I suspect there will be a post in the next few days describing just how hard it is to take 4 young children to Australia as a single Mum.

Anyhow, for the next few weeks at least we’re back together, and the MAdventure can resume its complex and twisting path.

Well I bet you are pleased that section of your MADventure is over Alison, I expect Richard will let you have the weekend in bed and he will look after the children :-) .
Look forward to reading your report on your journey once you have recovered.
Rain has returned so Peter & I plus others are giving golf a miss today, well not fully because the Open is on TV all weekend :-) , got to get a British player to knock the Ausie off the top of thr leader board……

Glad you are all safe and sound together again. Sorry we weren’t at home when you called Rich and sorry it was such an ordeal for Alison. The house is eerily quiet again and we’re missing you all very much but at last the sun’s come out here! Muchos besos, Abuelas xxxxxx

  7. Hi there

Well, I didn’t call Alison “Super Mum” for nothing … I can’t imagine that immensely long journey without the support of a 2nd pair of hands. Alison, bloody well done! Goodness, you are such an amazing family. I can’t wait to hear how you settle into your next Madventure … I sincerely hope there will be a Spanish Au Pair somewhere in the ‘mix’, to help and keep the language going. I am so happy to have the support for me and having the language in the house has been just unbelievable for Oscar & Isabel. They are showing real improvement and I do hope you can make that happen for your 4 too. Lots & Lots of Love to All of You … The best of luck and I really look forward to hearing from you. Hope the job is going okay Richard. Fingers crossed it all works out for a period of time that makes all this effort worthwhile. XXXX

Delighted that you are all together again and i echo some of the above comments about Alison being a super mum! If we hadnt done the long flight to OZ ourselves i perhaps wouldnt have comprehended the distance and to have done it with 4young children is to be admired; i do hope they were good! I hope that the job is all you hoped it would be Rich and your depleted bank account starts rising
Sending love and joy to you all and looking forward to your amazing blogs! Nana and Mumpa xxxxxxxxxx
